Donald  Meichenbaum

Donald Meichenbaum, PhD, is a distinguished professor emeritus at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, from which he took early retirement seventeen years ago. Dr. Meichenbaum is presently the research director of the Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention in Miami, Florida. He is one of the founders of cognitive behavioral therapy. In a survey of clinicians, Dr. Meichenbaum was voted one of the ten most influential psychotherapists of the twentieth century. He has presented in all fifty US states and internationally and is published extensively.
