The Missouri Dental Association (MDA) is seeking a Dental Well Being Committee Administrator to perform contracted services associated with the MDA and State of Missouri’s impaired practitioner program for dentists and dental hygienists. The Dental Well Being Program is established through Missouri state statute and defined in rule: 20-CSR2110-3.010-3.040.

Duties include but are not limited to:

·         Coordination of activities for the Dental Well Being Committee (including case management, oversight and management of daily operations of committee, assistance with administrative duties of the committee, timely and accurate recordkeeping and reporting to state agencies, Missouri Dental Board meeting attendance)

·         Organize and facilitate interventions

·         Refer dental professionals for appropriate treatment

·         Monitor treatment progress including random drug screens

·         Assist dental professional to re-enter practice after treatment

·         Assist with after-care issues such as practice restructuring

·         Outreach education and attendance at events for dental professionals, such as continuing education and annual meetings

·         Peer assistance meeting coordination

Job Skills & Requirements

·         Shall possess a combination of education and experience in the area of addiction counseling

·         Maintain an active Missouri license, in good standing, as a psychologist, professional counselor, or clinical social worker. 

·         Be familiar with dental professionals suffering well-being issues including but not limited to Dependency, Alcohol addiction, Drug addiction, Other addictive desires (gambling, sexual, spending, eating disorders), physical issues and mental health issues.

·         Indicate a willingness to further education and/or training to keep current in field of addiction counseling

Job Location

• Flexible work arrangement, including home office. Administrative support provided through MDA office in Jefferson City.
