Dear Readers, It has been a privilege to serve as editor of Counselor Magazine for more than six years, which is why saying farewell is bittersweet. So much has happened in the addiction treatment community over the past several years—both good and bad. But even in the face of great hardship, addiction treatment providers are resilient and unwavering in their commitment to treat those in need. It is very gratifying to have met and worked with some of the foremost experts in the addiction treatment and mental health fields, and it has been a pleasure sharing that work with the readers of Counselor. I am humbled by your tireless commitment to the individuals who suffer from addiction, and I am proud to have been able to play a small role in this field. Thank you to all the readers who have called or written to the magazine to share your views. I also would like to thank all the writers I have worked with over the years, especially the regular columnists and contributors to the magazine. I am leaving the magazine in good hands, and I look forward to seeing it grow and evolve under new leadership.
Please join us in welcoming Ann to Counselor Magazine, and feel free to contact her with ideas, letters and articles for future issues.
