USJT Adolescents Conference
WHO SHOULD ATTEND

A professional Conference for Marraige and Family Therapists, Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, School Counselors, Courts and Correction Staff, Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Counselors.

A maximum of 24 Contact Hours are available for the Adolescents Conference. 6 Hours Pre-Conference Ethics Workshop on April 23, and 18 Hours Full Time Conference April 24-26.

Full-Time conference attendees who complete all required evaluation and attendance documentation are eligible to receive the maximum number of contact hours. Daily registrants can receive credit for each day in attendance.

Note: If you are seeking continuing education credit for a specialty not listed above, it is your responsibility to contact your licensing/certification board directly to determine eligibility of this training to meet your CEU requirement. PLEASE VIEW BOARD APPROVALS FOR MORE DETIALS.


Program OBJECTIVES

To Identify, classify, and describe the various treatment strategies and modalities for treating substance abusing, self harming and or tramatized adolescents.

To identify and describe treatment methods and modalities for:

• Adolescents with Mental Disorders
• Violence, Aggression and Bullying
• Multidimentional Family Therapy, including the Father/Daughter Relationship
• Adolescent Critical Clinical Skilss
• Teens and Meds
• Teen Stress/Counselor Stress
• Adolescent Eating Disorders
• Strength Based Communications with Adolescents
• Using Art Therapy with Adolescents
• The Impact of poverty and privilege for counseling adolescents
