• Ketamine: PCP’s First Cousin

    Ketamine, a short-acting, less powerful derivative of phencyclidine (PCP), is used in veterinary hospitals primarily on dogs and cats. Ketamine is used often in conjunction with Valium or other sedatives that relax muscles during medical procedures.
